sorry no update for some time now because of all the hustle and bustle that is x'mas and new years. will write an in-depth update after the 11th of january. [hope all of you had a safe and happy x'mas and new years].

every time i hear about the tsunami disaster, it makes me so upset and depressed. [if you don't know what i am referring to, then you must have been living under a rock or are incredibly ignorant].
i'm so very lucky that none of my immediate family in sri lanka were killed or injured. but so many beautiful places that my sister and i visited only about 2 years ago have been completely destroyed [and without a doubt, the lovely local people we meet there, also]. it will take probably 15 to 30 years for sri lanka to re-build after this tragedy. i feel terrible. i've done as much as i can to help [and still am]. i am yet awaiting to hear from medical institues and sanitary companies to find out of they will donate necessary supplies for people over there.

i dislike asking, but if you do have some spare change to donate for any of the countries that have been affected, then CARE australia is one of the best [and i can guarantee you they are trustworthy - unlike some charitable organisations].

similarly, if you or anyone you know work for companies that can donate any medical or sanitary supplies, then please let me know. i have a list of supplies that are needed urgently [as the after affects of the tsunami are going to be even harder to combat in the next couple of weeks when diseases [such as malaria] start to spread]. if you are interested or know anyone that can help, please don't hesitate to contact me for any other information.
